Group - Peliminary Task Feedback

Strengths
Our strengths throughout the production of the film were:
  • Ghosting effect - this gave an effect that the character had a blurred vision and also the impression that she is scared and anxious to what is following her.
  • Sound mix - the intensified sinister sound track we used from Freesound.org, built tension throughout our film and helped to add to our aim of making it appear within the supernatural subgenre of horror.
  • Canted angle - this added mood, feeling and direction in that it displayed the characters facial expressions allowing the audience to relate to the character, also highlighting that she is peering other the other characters shoulder to see what lay behind her.
  • Pedding up - the use of this gave a subtle rising effect with appeared smooth and made our shot look effective.
Targets
  • Edit more carefully as some shots weren't so smooth in transaction as others, making our footage appear jumpy.
  • Delay conversation more, as dialogue was too close together and so made the conversation seem too quick and therefore unrealistic.

Ideas we can take from Wilderness Woods
  • Abandoned areas (secluded)
    • Park
    • Woods
  • Open areas
  • Lighting on objects to create shadows
  • Diagetic sound
    • Twigs snapping
    • Leaves rustling
    • Wind blowing
